As a foreign national, the way you buy
property in Croatia depends on whether your
home country has a reciprocal arrangement with
Croatia, i.e. could a Croatian national buy
property in your country?

These arrangements are likely to change if, as expected, Croatia joins the EU in 2010.

As a new build, The Marina Bay Apartments
qualify for a reduced rate of property tax, which
is likely to be less than 1% of the purchase
price.
Nationals from countries WITH reciprocal arrangements have the choice of buying as private individuals or establishing a Croatian company to purchase the property.

Nationals from countries WITHOUT reciprocal arrangements will need to establish a Croatian company through which they purchase the property.
